This Interagency Transition Council has developed school-based teams called the START (School Transition Action Resource Teams) made up of an administrator, a general education teacher, a special education teacher, and the LEA for the school. Each team helps to implement student-specific transition plans. If a problem arises, it is taken back to the whole council for input on how to resolve the issue. The school district supports the teams with training on a transition manual, local service providers, and accommodations for students going on to post-secondary education.
